Automatic Generator Starter Unit Design and manufactured in-house by EST, the Automatic Generator Starter Unit (ASU for short) was originally made for Honda EU30is Gensets which required automatic control in combination with the Victron equipment. The Victron unit can start/stop the Honda GenSet, when the Victron unit needs to charge it's battery bank or more power is required. The automatic control is controlled by the virtual switch inside the Victron unit and together with the programable switching parameters the options are almost unlimited. Any open/close contact can be used, for e.g. Battery Monitors or Battery Alarms. General The purpose of the ASU is to provide the customer a complete self thinking and fully automatic power management system. The ASU controls the starting and stopping of the genset when a Victron unit, battery monitor or other external contact action requests auxiliary AC power to charge battery banks or power extra heavy load applications. The ASU family is slowly evolving based on customer feedback and requests into multiple members for multiple generator brands, each with their own special qualities and application uses. The whole ASU family are built to IP55 standards (IP67 and higher on request), making them waterproof and dustproof for the extreme environments.
Optional Extra Features (availability depending on model)
Built to Order Apart from the current standard available ASU models, EST gives the customer the option to put together their own special designed version of a ASU to suite his/her own application needs. The "Built to Order" ASU can be based on any of the standard/optional features available including software modification requests, Contact Us for more info. Note: EST does require from the customer (electric) schematics of the generator with which the "Built to Order" ASU has to function and preferably access to the generator to do final testing. |
